My DJ story started in 1998.
Organizing first Hip-Hop Jams for friends and co. started to DJ and immediately have fallen in love with the art form of skratch and Turntablism.
Turntable and DJ Mixer pared with some dope sounds on vinyl records are my instrument and weapon of choice since then. I create my sound with scratching, cutting, and looping imitating different instruments.

VOICES OF THE NIGHT SCRATCH BEAT TAPE (2020)
“Voices of the night” beat tape created by scratching and cutting vinyl records.
All Beats scratched (no sampled drum loops), kicks, snares and hi hats with vinyl records, same goes for most of the other sounds on this music experiment.
Looped and recorded in the Boss RC 50 Loop station, there was little room for correction-one step undo/redo option. Like it like this!
To get some funkyness and base structure, sometimes used the TE SUB pocket synth and KPIII for special effects.
From 90s hip hop beats to some Dubstep and drum´n´bass, made with love and by hand, makes it sound a little naive and punky.

THE SPLINTA EXPERIENCE (2018)
The Splinta Experience was made entirely by hand. And one foot. The record is the result of Splinta's turntable tricks and layering. It's simply just drumming and scratching arranged on the fly with a loop pedal, with additives from a basic, pocket-size bass module. Low in fidelity and high in humming, buzzing and hissing. No SP-404 effects needed.
This is scratch music that takes us to the Electric ScratchHappyLand. Yeah, you got the hint: Is this a a tribute record celebrating 50 years of Jimi Hendrix Experience's last album? And 22 years of Kid Koala's greatest mixtape of all time?
Splinta's a Slovenian. He's been deejaying & juggling for more than a while. This is his debut on plastic.

HOMEGROWN(2010)
HOMEGROWN is my first piece of scratched music. The concept of this album was to search for interaction with other musicians and to establish the role of a DJ Turntablist as a musician. Transforming the DJ mixer and Technics mk2 turntable from being a replayed device for an instrument one of its kind! The idea was one musician on one tune!EMKEJ Marko Kocjan (Rap), Samo Pecar (Bass), Beno Sorsak (electric guitar) and Grega Blazic (Korg wave drum) were the freaks crazy enough to make it happen!
